Overview
Polydimethylsiloxane (PMDS) is a versatile material with a wide variety of research and commercial applications--from microfluidics to flexible electronics to contact lens material. It is inexpensive, easy to work with, and relatively inert and non-toxic.
The PDMS Workbench is a suite of tools consisting of a spin coater, hot plate, oven, and plasma cleaner.
Sylgard 182 and 184 are the most commonly used at the SNF. If you are interested in using other materials, please contact the PROM committee (snf-promcommittee at lists dot stanford dot edu)
